The recent opening of our wind turbine was attended by approximately 60 of our members, the majority of whom are local residents.
We took the opportunity to thank them for their support with a cream tea in a local café, but also to get their ideas for investment in the sustainability of the village.
The ideas that came up again and again were:
- energy saving ideas for the village’s homes
- cycle path to Southwell and surrounding villages
- local open space / allotments / pocket park
- growing or buying local food
As the wind turbine starts to generate income for the village we will be looking for people with the skills and resources to help deliver these ideas.
