Today SHOCK Directors reported progress on its sustainability objectives to its first AGM.
Environmental: In the last year our wind turbine has produced 48,557kWh of zero carbon power, displacing the emission of 27.6 tonnes of carbon dioxide from fossil fuelled power stations.
Economic: 100 days work was provided for Hockerton Housing Project, who managed the installation and maintenance of the wind turbine, plus further work for local contractors such as electricians and builders.
Social: £3000 was set aside for the village’s sustainability projects.
