Today SHOCK Directors reported progress on its sustainability objectives to its AGM.
Environmental: In the last year our wind turbine has produced 298,898 kWh of zero carbon power and our new PV array produced 1,103kWh, displacing the emission of 133.64 tonnes of carbon dioxide from fossil fuelled power stations
Economic: 5.5% interest capital was paid on share capital held in May 2014, and 45 days of work provided for local residents.
Social: £7,489 was set aside for the village’s sustainability projects; we offered every home £200 for energy and water saving measures, with uptake by around half of the homes to date; and we supported a community event at the local pub
